Dyson Caregivers provide temporary psychosocial support services to Prince George's County residents living with HIV, but also to those with chronic diseases or mobility issues. Support services include social visits, running errands, and light cleaning. Caregivers will be required to attend in-person and virtual training.

Internship Period
Ribbon interns commit to working remotely 10-15 hours per week, for a minimum of six months. Ribbon works with selected candidates to determine the hours and schedule that best meets the need of Ribbon and the intern(s). Extending the internship longer than the six-month commitment is possible. Students applying for this internship should be pursuing studies in Social Work, Human Services, Business Management, and Community Relations, or related fields.

Ribbon is looking for a Policy Intern.
The Policy intern will assist the policy team in the research and writing of publications, including easy-to-read fact sheets, policy briefs, and/or state Legislative and budget updates. Some examples of publications will be Fact Sheets, Health Information , and Medicare and Health for Aging topics.
Internship duties and responsibilities may include:
Researching and writing publications on Ribbon’s policy priority topics;
Participating in policy-team and staff meetings; Contributing to the development of comprehensive and organized resource library on health care and health policy resources; Communicating internally and with external partners on policy research topics; and, Social media tracking of articles on health care, health policy, and partner organization events and publications. Contributing to t comprehensive and organized resource library on health care and health policy resources;
Ribbon Policy interns can expect:
Ownership to writing of at least one Ribbon publications, depending on Ribbon's policy needs; Education and guidance on the federal, state and local Legislative and Budget processes; Opportunities to contribute to Ribbon’s policy priorities and goals;
Professional development opportunities, including, but not limited to:
Planning and executing presentations on research and ideas;
Attending health policy conferences; Engaging with health stakeholders; and,
Networking with state-wide and national health policy experts.
Intern Qualifications
Applicants must be actively enrolled in a graduate program;
Interest and experience in health or public policy research;
Passionate about ITUP’s mission and vision;
Excellent writing, research and communication skills;
Strong interpersonal skills, professional work ethic, and reliability;
Internship Period

Qualifications Internship will require 15-20 hours per week, for a minimum of six months (extending the internship longer than the six-month commitment is possible).Schedule is flexible based on the intern's schedule during the academic year. The internship is mostly remote but some in-person time my be requested. Students applying for this internship should be pursuing graduate studies in Political Science, Public Health, Public Policy, Health Policy & Management, Marketing, Public Affairs, Public and Community Relations, or related fields.
